Analyst argues Instinct is a textbook AI-boom failure in the making

Quoting @hoonitri's analysis: Instinct will be a textbook example of an AI boom failure. Winning as a consumer AI agent requires three things—distribution, great UI, and compute (latency + memory).
Instinct's distribution hack was living inside messaging platforms so users don't download another app, but that means it doesn't own the platform and can't control the UI. Rival muse's key advantage is a dynamic, interactive interface beyond text-based chatbots, which Instinct can't replicate unless the platforms allow it. Distribution and UI go hand in hand, so optimizing one at the expense of the other will eventually cost Instinct. On compute, muse has the infrastructure while Instinct had to raise billions just to compete.
