A Reddit user found Gemini gave the wrong current time for Vancouver, BC, which adopted daylight time year-round, while ChatGPT, Grok and several Chinese models answered correctly. Gemini itself conceded the rivals handled the legislative time-zone change seamlessly while it fell into a static time-zone calculation trap, exposing a real-time knowledge gap.
