OpenAI co-founder Wojciech Zaremba announced that Nora Ammann has joined OpenAI Foundation as Program Director of Formal Methods.
- Zaremba argues that as AI becomes more powerful, using it to strengthen the security of critical systems is a major opportunity, with formal methods essential to giving cyber defense the upper hand.
- Ammann previously led ARIA's Safeguarded AI programme, an ambitious early bet on AI safety, and brings that experience to the Foundation.
