spaCy makers launch free Solo plan for Ellf, an AI agent for NLP engineering
_inesmontani · x · 2026-11-02
Explosion (makers of spaCy and Prodigy) introduced a free Solo plan for Ellf, a "virtual NLP engineer" for agentic development — free for single developers working locally.
Ellf plugs into coding assistants like Claude Code and covers project planning, LLM distillation into smaller private task-specific models, data preparation and exploration, agent-assisted annotation and guidelines, rule-based pattern generation, QA and evaluation, and coding help with spaCy/Prodigy — with a focus on keeping data private and solutions in-house.
