GeBNLP 2026, the workshop on gender bias in NLP, takes place virtually on November 9 during AACL 2026. Two keynote speakers were announced:
- Beatrice Savoldi (Fondazione Bruno Kessler): "Gender, Users, and Inclusive Multilingual Language Technologies" — using MT and multilinguality as a litmus test for bias research, from text to speech technologies.
- Vagrant Gautam (Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies): "Measurement and impact in bias research" — revisiting a decade of debates on intrinsic vs. extrinsic bias and natural vs. synthetic data, and where the field goes next.
