In a WIRED interview with Steven Levy, Apple's new CEO John Ternus (who replaced Tim Cook two months ago) was asked about a future where AI agents autonomously take over computing tasks. His answer: "The creation of products is a deeply human and personal thing, something that we love to do."
While Google builds AI that writes its own code, Microsoft replaces entire workflows, Meta generates content autonomously, and OpenAI builds agents acting on your behalf, Ternus is publicly drawing a line between automation and creation — between efficiency and craft.
