LocalFold adds BioEmu2, Mol-1, crosslink support and faster diffusion for local protein folding
sokrypton · x · 2026-11-02
LocalFold, a browser-based local protein structure prediction tool, has been updated with several additions:
- BioEmu2 (Frank Noe's group) and Mol-1 (MolenceBio) for structure/equilibrium dynamics
- fastplm: confidence modules for fast ESMFold models
- AF3x crosslink support: input constraints like DSSO crosslink-MS to guide folding
- Faster diffusion sampling via exponential updates and a geometric noise schedule
The platform supports side-by-side comparison of AF3, Boltz-2, Protenix-v2, ESMFold2, RoseTTAFold3 and more, with tunable seeds, recycles, and MSA settings — all running locally in the browser. The screenshot shows AF3 folding a 152-residue two-chain protein with XL-DSSO in 12 seconds at pLDDT 86.7.
