One Vault, Two Sides: An Obsidian + Claude Agent Workflow for Personal Knowledge
adnan_hashmi · x · 2026-11-02
A members-only post shares an "One Vault, Two Sides" Obsidian + Claude knowledge workflow — the attached diagram is packed with detail. Obsidian handles the reading side (Web Clipper into raw/inbox, Graph View, Bases tables, CLI checks for orphan links); Claude handles the writing side.
Three agents divide the work: a Haiku scout reads every new clipping and writes summaries; an Opus librarian maintains the wiki index, append-only log, and vault-wide overview; a Sonnet answers questions from index.md. A router handles small yes/no decisions. The vault includes a CLAUDE.md contract, skills (ingest/curate/ask), and nightly lint report scripts. The diagram quotes Karpathy: "Obsidian is the IDE; the LLM is the programmer; the wiki is the codebase."
