Artificial Analysis's Mert Gulsun shared a key observation on ThursdAI: roughly every 4-6 months, the same level of intelligence becomes 10x cheaper, a pattern holding across their entire index. Host altryne adds the flip side: frontier flagships (new Fables and Astras) keep getting more expensive per task — peak capability rises while average intelligence rapidly deflates.
