Andrej Karpathy used Opus 5.5 in Claude Code to build hackertube.org in about 2 hours without writing any code himself. Opus downloaded all Hacker News comments, Sonnet filtered them in a Claude Code Workflow down to 40K video recommendations, yielding 6,454 YouTube videos recommended on HN from 2007–2026 across 150 topics. Features include 50%-frame thumbnails, account-less For You recommendations stored in the browser, keyboard shortcuts, and a full data export for your own agent. His only manual steps: creating a Google Cloud API key, booting a VPS, and buying the domain.
