Sequoia's Shaun Maguire hits back at SpaceX orbital-compute model critics: four core variables matter
shaunmmaguire · x · 2026-11-01
Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire responded to critics mocking his SpaceX orbital-compute model, saying the point was estimating the hard core inputs: how many GWs SpaceX will have online in 2027-2028, how revenue and CapEx per GW evolve, how Starship launches ramp, and when the first orbital compute satellites launch. Everything else, like taxes, he called trivial outputs driven by 2028 CapEx decisions.
