Dev shows off AI-generated game engine material graphs built from text descriptions
D3VAUX · x · 2026-11-01
Developer D3VAUX shared a screenshot of what he's been busy building: a game engine material editor styled like Unreal Engine, featuring a "Describe" button. The interface shows an AI-generated "weathered red brick wall with pale mortar" material — multiple texture sample nodes plus a normal map wired into the material output, with a full parameter panel (Metallic, Roughness, opacity, etc.) on the right.
It's a tangible glimpse of AI generating usable material node graphs directly from text prompts inside a game content pipeline.
