Grok Bot snags premium SF bathhouse and sushi reservations by watching for cancellations hourly
jaivin · x · 2026-11-01
A user shared a hands-on Grok Bot use case: having the bot watch a popular SF bathhouse and sushi spot every hour for openings. It caught cancellations at 2:00pm and 5:45pm on Saturday — premium slots that normally require booking about a month in advance — pinged him the moment they appeared, and he locked them in before they filled.
The trick is using a general-purpose agent for long-running monitoring of low-frequency events: delegate the tedious manual page-refreshing to the bot, which pushes an alert the instant a slot opens. The same pattern applies to scarce reservations like hot restaurants, tickets, or appointments.
