Scobleizer retweets ctorobotics introducing Shanghai-based startup Archon Robotics (源策未来), which is building what it calls a Humanoid Foundation Model for whole-body intelligence. Rather than treating walking, manipulation, perception and control as separate problems, it connects the entire humanoid body into one scalable learning framework.
Its approach combines:
- Large-scale human whole-body motion data for pretraining
- Real robot data for physical grounding
- Simulation and failure data for adaptation and recovery
- Efficient post-training to turn knowledge into deployable robot skills
The ambitious goal is a foundation model enabling humanoid robots to move, perceive, reason and act through coordinated whole-body intelligence, positioning the company as a potential "OpenAI of humanoid robotics" in China.
