BCI wearables could turn brain arousal signals into implicit personal rewards for AI tuning
burny_tech · x · 2026-11-01
A new proposal for tuning non-verifiable capabilities (e.g. making something beautiful): instead of lossy rubric rewards or reward models trained on human feedback, the author claims to use arousal signals from the brain as implicit rewards encoding personal preferences. A BCI wearable could passively gather per-user feedback without explicit input, opening a passive personalization/alignment channel. Link to the work included.
