Local Qwen model powers a GameBoy CPU playing Pokémon Red, with model-to-model trades
vincent_koc · x · 2026-11-01
Developer vincentkoc shows a wild demo: a locally-run Qwen model's weights pumping out a GameBoy CPU playing Pokémon Red. He built and drove the whole thing from Telegram over morning coffee using local models with openclaw, including a half-baked "link" feature to swap Pokémon between two Qwen models. Screenshots show compiled post-evolution overworld frames with 23,040 final pixels matching independent replay. Full source code is promised.
