VRMHairMaker open-sourced: one-photo 3D hair generation for VRM avatars, one Docker command to run
camenduru · x · 2026-11-01
camenduru open-sourced VRMHairMaker: generate stylized 3D hair from a single portrait and wear it on a VRM avatar in the browser, with live spring-bone physics and downloadable VRM files with hair baked in. Hair generation uses HairDeck (paper: 'Animation-Ready Stylized Hair Cards from a Single Image'); preview is three.js + @pixiv/three-vrm with MToon and VRMA idle animation. Self-contained Docker image includes HairDeck checkpoints and Blender 4.2 LTS — run one command, open localhost:8300.
