zetalyrae notes that Himmeru the snow leopard became a meme — but as a "fucked up alien-looking" AI edit. The original "Snow Leopard Paws at You" (aka Snowmei) is a reaction image made by using AI to swap the snow leopard's eyes and face with those of Mei Mei Cat, typically captioned "paws at you" with gaming or fandom punchlines; the mutated derivative version has now taken on a life of its own.
