ChatGPT to merge Chat and Work modes, with ChatGPT and Codex sharing one usage allowance

A user shared OpenAI's official notice: in the coming weeks ChatGPT will unify Chat and Work modes, letting users delegate tasks like building sites, decks, and web actions directly in chat, with the model deciding how to break work into steps.
ChatGPT and Codex will also draw from a single shared usage allowance, with consumption varying by model and task complexity; OpenAI says most users shouldn't need to wait for resets more often than today. Unlimited Instant stays included and doesn't count against usage. Combined remaining usage will be visible in Settings → Usage.
