GitHub makes Copilot cloud agents GA: one session across web, mobile, CLI, Slack and Teams
0xkarasy · x · 2026-11-01
GitHub announced general availability of a connected Copilot cloud experience: start a cloud task on github.com, GitHub Mobile, Copilot CLI, the Copilot app, VS Code, or from Slack/Microsoft Teams conversations, then resume it anywhere — all surfaces share one session list.
- Every session runs by default in a secure GitHub-managed cloud sandbox: fast startup, no one-hour session limit, snapshot on shutdown so sessions can resume later from any surface
- Sandbox compute draws from your existing Actions entitlement, now one flexible pool for builds, cloud sandboxes, and larger hosted runners on Team/Enterprise Cloud
- GA now on paid Copilot plans
