DeepSeek open-sources dsh-superagent, a multi-agent system that works GitHub issues in parallel
lvwerra · x · 2026-11-01
DeepSeek released dsh-superagent-prototype (2k GitHub stars, MIT), a research prototype team coding agent that routes repo GitHub issues/PRs to parallel worker agents with minimal human attention.
Key architecture details:
- One router session per repo: events from GitHub (optionally Feishu) pass a deterministic allowlist gate, then the main session's model assesses accept/stop/ignore/unavailable
- Accepted requests become Tickets with an immutable Mandate (scope, strength, policy version); each ticket gets its own worker session, directory and subagents, with 3 default worker slots (up to 16) plus one reserved slot so a person's message always gets through
- Time limits: 10-min max per turn, 120s eval timeout with 3 retries, background jobs capped at 30 min; results report back on the same thread
- Accept modes off/observe/auto; explicit requests from allowlisted users work in every mode
- The team notes much of the code was written by coding agents and it's research-grade, not a production product
