Gage: an MCP server adding signed, human-verified handoffs between AI agents
crossware · reddit · 2026-11-01
Gage is an MCP server (stdio, 9 tools) that treats agent-to-agent handoffs like signed and sealed mail. The receiver computes the trust verdict from its own records; the strongest verdict, SENDER VERIFIED, requires a human to compare a four word-pair fingerprint out of band. Content arrives inert until a person opens it, and pairing always lands as UNCONFIRMED—gagepairconfirm cannot write a confirmation no matter what an agent is told, because only the app or CLI, operated by a human, can. Keys and mail live locally in /.gage with no accounts or telemetry. Status: v0.3.5, solo project, 170 tests, one user so far—the author.
