Reddit stock crashes 44% in two weeks as CEO says AI search is killing its Google traffic

Reddit plunged 30% in a single day after earnings and is down 44% in two weeks (the TradingView chart shows a -44.89% drawdown).
The key reveal came on the earnings call: the CEO said AI is killing Google search — users no longer click through to Reddit from Google and instead get answers directly from AI Mode, and Google's own disastrous results confirm AI Mode is cannibalizing its search business.
Reddit isn't alone: millions of companies and publishers depend on search traffic. Relying on a single discovery funnel is the structural risk.
