Scammers Target Andrew Ng, Keep Pitching After He Offers Fake Credentials
andrewgwils · x · 2026-10-31
Andrew Ng shared a DM exchange with an impersonator posing as "Liv Convisaa" pitching a collaboration. Ng trolled back by offering his social media and email login credentials, and the scammer didn't take the hint—following up with a Calendly link to book a team briefing. Ng says he rarely replies to scammers but was surprised they kept the conversation going. A textbook impersonation/phishing attempt targeting AI researchers.
