DeepSeek Harness Proposes Super-agent: Router+Worker Architecture for Always-On Parallel Agents

aigclink · x · 2026-10-31

The DeepSeek Harness team published an engineering vision called Super-agent: turning agents from per-session one-task tools into always-on digital collaborators that run multiple tasks in parallel across sessions. Their thesis: the bottleneck isn't the model's ability to do a single task, it's human attention managing parallel work.

Key design:

An internal demo shows the agent spotting a bug reported in a group chat without being @-mentioned, reproducing, fixing it, and opening a PR. The team notes experiments used synthetic workloads (validating orchestration, not coding ability), and open problems remain: long-horizon memory, large-scale worker coordination, permission isolation, prompt injection, and cloud-agent-to-local-device security. Partial designs are open-sourced as dsh-superagent-prototype — a research prototype, not an official DeepSeek product.
