Compute credit crunch: GPU provider demands $5M more upfront after one tweet
AccBalanced · x · 2026-10-31
A viral thread claims the "compute credit crunch has arrived." Developer Ivan Burazin says that after a single tweet, a GPU provider that had already been wired $3M called demanding $5M more upfront, claiming the risk profile changed, and tried to renegotiate a signed contract. Banks in talks also halved their lending offers after their investment committees got spooked. His takeaway: one tweet moved capital markets against everyone building in the space except companies big enough to be immune.
