HairDeck: open-source tool turns one character image into rigged, animatable 3D hair cards
majidmanzarpour · x · 2026-10-31
HairDeck (Apache 2.0), from Tsinghua, CMU and CUHK, generates stylized 3D hair cards with attached spring-bone chains from a single character image—hair sways when the head turns. Each card is one token, generated jointly by a set diffusion transformer; output exports as GLB mesh or VRM avatar. Repo includes demo configs and Blender tooling, 84 stars so far.
