After 90 interviews, this AI career-switcher shares his mock-interview prep method

Brandon Galang reflects on switching into applied AI: he taught himself to build with AI after hours and went through about 90 interviews, often listing accomplishments without giving interviewers a reason to hire him.
His revised prep method:
- Write down 2-3 things you want the interviewer to remember about you
- Pair each with a concrete moment from your work that proves it
- Run mock interviews with AI (or a friend): share the job description, answer one question at a time out loud
- Afterwards ask "based on my answers, what would you trust me to do?" and re-drill any point that didn't land
His takeaway: the dots were there all along — he just needed to connect them himself and know his stories cold.
