Anthropic renames Max plans and drops 5-hour cap — users call it a 20x-to-10x downgrade in disguise

Anthropic is renaming its Max plans: Max 5x becomes Max and Max 20x becomes Ultra, at unchanged prices ($100/$200 per month). Verified Ultra accounts get the 5-hour usage limit removed starting today.
User @MichaelDMoor responded with a magician meme claiming the real trick: the 20x allowance actually drops to 10x — "distract with one hand, cut usage with the other." If accurate, heavy-paying users face a substantial downgrade despite the seemingly generous change.
