Indie developer marclou shipped a batch of editor features for MailCheap, his newsletter tool, positioning it on price: up to 83% cheaper than beehiiv, Mailchimp, and Ghost, charging only for emails actually sent, from $19/month.
New features include sections visible only to specific tags/segments (email-only or web-only), typing {{ to insert any custom field, live flagging of broken links and empty placeholders, click heatmaps, per-issue open/click breakdowns, and starting new campaigns from past ones.
