AGI unemployment debate: most people's problem is money, not meaning
AaronBergman18 · x · 2026-10-31
X user Aaron Bergman argues that in the coming AGI-driven unemployment wave, the vast majority of serious, hardworking people who were employable until 2024-2028 simply won't be able to make money for themselves.
He pushes back on the framing that joblessness is mainly about "meaning": that only holds for unusual people. For >99% of people on Earth and >90% in the US, the far more important problem is not being able to buy things because they lack money.
