Dev claims coding agents delivered 50 SWE-years of work in single-digit weeks

Patrick Toulme argues people aren't thinking big enough with coding agents: instead of "make this kernel faster", try "optimize my entire system and come back in 7 days" — ask what version of the task would take a human team years. He says he's completed 50 SWE-years of projects in single-digit weeks with recent coding models. Casper Hansen agrees it's accurate and adds: don't run 10 agents just because you can — think bigger instead.
