Open-source Construct MCP server lets agents reconstruct real objects as structured 3D scenes
SignificanceLanky988 · reddit · 2026-10-31
A developer open-sourced Construct, an MCP-accessible system where agents describe an object — facts and sources, dimensions, named parts, joints, assembly order — and the system validates the description and builds geometry deterministically instead of generating a mesh.
Highlights:
- Via MCP, agents can build/validate constructs, render them, and export structured 3D; the same scene becomes an interactive hologram, Blender model, or glTF for Godot/Unity/Unreal.
- Provenance is the core feature: facts and parts are explicitly marked verified, user-supplied, inferred or decorative, so photo-based guesses never masquerade as measured data.
- The MCP interface is just one entry point into the same underlying system, not a separate AI wrapper. Free and open source.
