WisprFlow emailed users instructions to enable rival Granola's feature, losing a subscriber
dejavucoder · x · 2026-10-31
Voice-dictation tool WisprFlow sent users an email with step-by-step instructions to enable a voice-typing feature in rival Granola — a feature the poster didn't even know Granola had. After turning it on, they cancelled their WisprFlow subscription.
NathanpmYoung quote-posts the screenshot asking whether the "never name your competitor" rule still applies: a textbook backfiring marketing move that advertised the competitor's capability and drove a user away.
