Company growing real human neurons for computing sparks ethics firestorm

A company is growing real human neurons to use for computing hardware, with a product named "mischief".
@GroundhogStrat sharply criticized the practice: we still don't understand consciousness, can't even settle whether brain-like LLMs qualify — and now computers are literally built from human parts. He argued there's no natural endpoint: if more brain-like substrates yield more performance, companies will push further, and "we cannot allow literal human brains as computer products."
@jdpressman quote-tweeted with a bleaker civilizational take, sparking heated debate over biocomputing and consciousness ethics.
