Blogger argues $30K local Kimi K3.1 setup is worth it, despite taking 4.76 years to match GPT-6.1 Terra output

Blogger bookwormengr calls Kimi K3.1 an exceptional model and argues a $30K local inference box is a low price for private, interest-aligned inference. Citing @bingxu's counter-calculation that the same box would need 4.76 continuous years to output a comparable amount of GPT-6.1 Terra tokens (excluding electricity), he responds that Terra wins on benchmarks but not in practice, and the K series will keep improving through 3.2, 3.4 and 3.5.
