Engineer rates 10 kinds of work on 4 automation levels: only PM stays human

Kieran Klaassen (Every Frontier) rates ten kinds of work across four levels — Human, Human in the loop, Orchestrate, Automate. Nearly everything trends toward automation within a year except coordination/PM: "people want people, not AI slop." Coding, debugging, QA are automated — but only because debugging is too; without a production validation stack, don't automate building. Research, marketing and sales are orchestrated. Strategy, product design and goal-setting stay human-in-the-loop for vision, OKRs and pricing decisions.
