Skyptic: a Free MCP Server That Stress-Tests Your Agent's Asteroid Discoveries
SirMeeseekz · reddit · 2026-10-31
A developer launched Skyptic, a free remote MCP server that vets your agent's "new asteroid" detections before anyone reports them.
- Checks: star/satellite/spacecraft, already-known objects against Minor Planet Center orbit files, rows already reported in MPC's WAMO, whether dots move as one object, and whether one orbit fits multi-night data
- No key or account needed; one command adds it to Claude Code
- Pass "private": true so outside services never see your rows
- Most single checks return in 3-7 seconds
The author invites users to throw false alarms at it.
