Bloomberg reports Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon and Oracle together hold over $3T in future data center commitments, $1.3T of it in leases. Alphabet accounts for more than $1T — nearly 8x its total a year earlier — covering technical equipment, energy and leases. Meta follows with $810B, just under half tied to unstarted data center leases running up to 30 years, underscoring the scale and financial risk of the AI compute arms race.
