axiomize: an MCP server for scientific models that refuses to run unvalidated ones

Emergency-Tutor-7 · reddit · 2026-10-31

Open-source (MIT) scientific modeling engine axiomize ships an MCP server (stdio) exposing 35 tools: 16 model tools (plan, validate, simulate, fit, stability, uncertainty, etc.) plus 19 workflow tools covering data cleaning, sensitivity analysis, experiment design and reproduction.

Core principle: it refuses to simulate models failing dimensional validation—agents get structured errors with failing checks instead of plausible numbers. Expensive studies require explicit approval, and runs live in an integrity-checked ledger for reproducibility. Exports to SBML, CellML, Modelica and a SHA-256 portable bundle.
