Google DeepMind chief Demis Hassabis posted a chart on X captioned only "No.1💎", showing the unreleased Gemini 4 (Clover) topping the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 at 59, ahead of Anthropic Opus (58), GPT-5.2 (57) and Claude 5.2 Sonnet (55). The index v5.0 folds in 9 evaluations including AA-Briefcase, Terminal-Bench 4.0, FrontierCode 2.0 and HLE-Diamond. Redditors noted the boldness of announcing rankings for a model that hasn't shipped yet. The post drew 785K views.
