Citing Design Arena, bookwormengr calls it "statistical proof of hedonic adaptation towards AI capabilities." Design Arena sampled 100,000 user replies from April–July 2026 and compared each of 80 models against itself: 70 of 80 drew more complaints in June–July than April–May, about 50% more for the median model — suggesting expectations, not just model quality, shape perceived performance.
