Anthropic renames Max plans, drops 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts

Anthropic is renaming its Claude subscription tiers: Max 5x becomes Max (still $100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra (still $200/month), with no action needed from existing subscribers.
More notably, the 5-hour usage cap is being removed for verified Ultra accounts starting today, rolling out to most existing subscribers first. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified — a measure Anthropic says helps prevent fraud and abuse.
