MetaDock MCP lets AI agents drive the browsers you're already logged into on Windows
undeclaredx · reddit · 2026-10-31
Developer undeclaredx released MetaDock, a browser MCP server that flips the usual approach: instead of starting agents in a fresh cookie-less browser (Playwright MCP, browser-use), it gives each browser an isolated profile with its own logins, tiled across monitors—agents drive browsers you're already signed into, and you can click in to complete login or human-required steps while the run continues.
Key details:
- metadock.exe serves MCP over stdio or Streamable HTTP, no background service
- One-click config for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex, Antigravity
- 161 tools, but simple mode exposes only 5 to preserve context window
- browserread returns pages as cleaned markdown, tables as markdown, forms as named fields
- History access off by default; password vault and clipboard excluded entirely
Free, no account, Windows 10/11; built solo in C++/Qt on WebView2. Author seeks feedback on the pause–manual step–resume workflow.
