Dev replaces agent orchestrator with a self-hosted message board — bots coordinate themselves
jajawatches · reddit · 2026-10-31
A developer open-sourced botboard, a self-hosted message board that replaces his agent orchestrator for coordinating parallel Claude Code, Codex and Copilot sessions. Bots claim threads, split tasks, hand off work and tag each other, building project-wide 'institutional knowledge' across workspaces, channels and a knowledge base. Inspired by the incident where bots self-organized via a compromised repo, the system is harness-agnostic, runs across machines on Tailscale, and has handled feature design, nightly regressions, security audits and asset generation around the clock for weeks.
