Anthropic renames Max 20x to Ultra and removes 5-hour usage limit for verified subscribers

Anthropic is renaming its Claude individual plans: Max 5x becomes Max ($100/month) and Max 20x becomes Ultra ($200/month), with no action needed from subscribers.
The more substantive change: verified Ultra accounts no longer face the 5-hour usage limit, effective immediately for most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until verified, as a fraud/abuse safeguard. Weekly limits remain unchanged.
The pricing page also shows Max now includes $100/month in API credits and Ultra $200/month, with Pro at $17/month billed annually.
