humans& introduced Ampersand Tutor (&Tutor), built on a distinctive approach: they first trained a model to learn like people, then trained &Tutor to teach it. On a widely-used tutor model eval, &Tutor performed best, supporting the thesis that better models of people lead to better AI for humans. Available via API. Stanford's Noah Goodman called AI tutoring one of AI's most important, human, and difficult applications.
