Gaussian Splat Scans Double as Shared GPS Maps for Robots, Drones and Phones
bilawalsidhu · x · 2026-10-30
Investor Bilawal Sidhu highlights Splat by @justinryanio and MultiSet's VPS (visual positioning service): a single 3D Gaussian splat scan can serve as spatial anchoring for drones, robots and phones simultaneously. The flow: splat a few city blocks → MultiSet VPS builds one shared map → drop a waypoint in AR glasses and the robot navigates there. Sidhu is an angel backer of the team.
