Sonder Editor ships as a standalone timeline app for ComfyUI video workflows
SonderSaid · reddit · 2026-10-30
Developer SonderSaid released Sonder Editor as a standalone app: a free, open-source timeline-based video editing studio for ComfyUI. Key points:
- Edit video/audio on a timeline, write prompts along it, guide generations with keyframes or a Driver video, and re-run any segment;
- Launcher manages projects/workflows, a Controls panel tunes values, and Modes one-click-switch entire parameter and node-state setups (enable/mute/bypass);
- Viewport splits up to four ways to watch mask, depth map or sampler previews during generation;
- Ships with starter workflows: LTX 2.5 Edit & VFX (plus a timed-prompt Prompt Relay version), LTX 2.5 Refine & Upscale, and MiniMax H3 References & Swaps; the demo short Timmy went from a garden take to armor, a fantasy world and a 2K upscale;
- Bring your own workflow via a Sonder Editor node + Sonder Save Video, exported with Export (API).
Everything ran locally on open-weights models. It's an entry in Comfy's Open Source Higgsfield challenge.
