Can't use CapCut, he built an MCP video-editing server for Claude Code

Over 3 months the author made 300 short videos with millions of views using Claude Code and Codex. First drafts were easy; iterative fixes were the pain, so he built Cutfac—a Mac app with a built-in MCP server. You drag over a few seconds, draw a box on what's wrong, type the change, and Claude Code or Codex does the edit.

Key MCP design points:

19 tools total; init writes .mcp.json for Claude Code and runs codex mcp add. No editing tools in the app on purpose. Runs on your own Claude/ChatGPT plan; Cutfac never sees your footage. Open source (AGPL-3.0), free to build yourself; signed app free for 3 videos then $29 once. Apple Silicon only. The author asks: hand the agent clips and marked frames up front, or let it pull frames itself?
